Available on all supported platforms, “Pterosaur Hill” will add tons of new content – starting with the introduction of air combat, new maps for exploration, prehistoric creatures, and more.

The “Pterosaur Hill” DLC is built around the concept of flight. Three new maps are included: Mountain Lake, Crystal Sky Lift, and Aviary.

In addition to using land-based vehicles, players will now get to: float in a hot air balloon overseeing Mountain Lake; ride the Crystal Sky lift, where they can soar through the clouds; and gaze upon the majestic nest of Quetzalcoatlus – the largest prehistoric flying creature – in the Aviary.

As players progress through the DLC, they’ll meet more than 10 different new species – including the hawk-like Meganeura and the several-meters-long Arthropleaura millipedes.

On the dinosaur front, “Pterosaur Hill” will feature the Diplodocus, Pachyrhinosaurus (a.k.a. “Pachy”), Compsognathus (a.k.a. “Compy”), Therizinosaurus, and Gallimimus. – among others.

Players interested in learning about ancient creatures can pick up their gene-scanning gun once again and add to their collection!

SNES and NES Classic

The end is near! Yes. Nintendo has ceased production for hard to get consoles SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System) and NES (Nintendo Entertainment System).

During an interview with THR (The Hollywood Reporter), Nintendo of America President, president Reggie Fils-Aime, made it official. He mentioned that the gaming company will no longer produce the coveted tiny consoles.

There’s no ability for add-on content with our classic consoles, so when you purchase the console it’s coming with that set roster of content. We worked very hard, both for the NES Classic and the SNES Classic. Only to have the best games that defined that generation. We’ve said that the current systems are the extent of our classic program. We’ve also been clear. At least from an Americas perspective, these products are going to be available through the holiday season and once they sell out, they’re gone.”, stated Fils-Aime..

He then continued saying the following:

“The way that consumers will be able to continue participating with our classic content is going to be through Nintendo Switch Online. And we just released three new games (Ninja Gaiden, Wario’s Woods and Adventures of Lolo) from the NES generation onto that platform. We look at that as the main way that consumers will be able to experience that legacy content”, said Fils-Aime in the interview.

Since their announcement, both small items have been the a must-have item. Not just for for gamers but also for nostalgic consumers. In a past report we did a little research on how of an uphill  battle was to get the NES Classic console on it’s release day two years ago.

After the outpouring of fans and collectors alike, Nintendo gave in to their demands. That is when they decided to produce more NES Classic console. Before the release of the SNES Classic, Nintendo made one thing clear. One thing was clear with the SNES Classic.  Once the SNES Classic hit the shelves on September of last year, they would produce a large amount of it. That way everyone would be able to get their hands on one.

Nier: Automata Game of the YoRHa Edition

El vidoejuego Nier: Automata: Game of the YoRHa Edition llegará a PC y PS4.

Boom! Command and Conquer remastered is coming!

The Command & Conquer series is getting a 4k treatment.

Command and Conquer

Vintage gamers, rejoice! Electronic Arts announced that they will be remastering the classic real-time strategy game series, Command and Conquer (C&C).

The game is getting a modern treatment for new platforms. EA confirmed Wednesday that it plans to remaster the original C&C and its prequel/sequel, Command & Conquer: Red Alert, to “4K glory” with the help of Petroglyph Games.

Petroglyph is the developer behind strategy games like Grey Goo, Star Wars: Empire at War and Guardians of Graxia.

“Today, I’m thrilled to tell you we are going to the beginning. We have decided to remaster Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn. And while this is incredibly exciting on its own, we’re also aware of how passionate the community is about the Red Alert universe. So, we will also remaster the original Command & Conquer: Red Alert™”, mentioned Jim Vessella trough the EA website.

The classic strategy game also featured some exciting expansion packs. And according to the report they will too get a remastered edition.

But what about the classic expansion packs you may ask – Covert Ops, Counterstrike, and Aftermath? Well, C&C and Red Alert wouldn’t be the same without them, so all three expansion packs will be bundled with the base games into one remastered collection – without microtransactions”, Vessella concluded.

Although these are awesome news, we are still long ways away from getting a release date. Vessella concluded stating that the game has not yet started development.

The Command & Conquer series kicked off in 1995 with Westwood Studios’ original real-time strategy game. EA will release a new take on the franchise, Command & Conquer: Rivals, for Android and iOS this December.
