Con Pokémon GO los jugadores podrán hacerse con todos en el mundo real

The Pokémon Company, Niantic, Inc. y Nintendo Co., Ltd. han anunciado hoy su colaboración en un nuevo proyecto para dispositivos móviles llamado Pokémon GO. Este revolucionario juego animará a los jugadores a salir a explorar a lo largo y ancho del mundo para encontrar Pokémon. Pokémon GO podrá descargarse sin coste alguno desde el App Store y Google Play en 2016.

La serie de videojuegos de Pokémon ya ha utilizado lugares del mundo real, como Nueva York, París o las regiones japonesas de Hokkaido y Kanto, como fuente de inspiración para crear sus fantásticos escenarios. En Pokémon GO, los jugadores podrán atrapar, intercambiar y combatir en el mundo real gracias al uso de datos de geolocalización. La experiencia de juego de Pokémon GO va más allá de lo que aparece en pantalla, ya que los jugadores podrán explorar sus ciudades, regiones y el mundo entero para descubrir Pokémon, conocer a otros jugadores y hacer nuevos amigos. Los jugadores podrán llevar incluso más allá la experiencia de Pokémon GO, gracias a un singular dispositivo llamado Pokémon GO Plus, que permite seguir jugando sin estar pendiente del móvil. Solo con pulsar un botón en el Pokémon GO Plus, pueden llevarse a cabo acciones sencillas en el juego como atrapar un Pokémon. Desarrollado y producido por Nintendo Co., Ltd., Pokémon GO Plus se conectará a los móviles a través de Bluetooth y, mediante señales de luz y vibraciones, notificará a los jugadores acerca de eventos en el juego, como, por ejemplo, la aparición de un Pokémon en las proximidades.

El desarrollador de Pokémon GO es Niantic, Inc., una nueva empresa en el seno de Google fundada originalmente por John Hanke, el cocreador de Google Earth. Niantic es conocida por ser la creadora de Ingress, el juego de realidad aumentada para móviles que hace uso de la tecnología GPS para impulsar una historia de ciencia ficción que abarca el mundo entero. A día de hoy, se han efectuado más de 12 millones de descargas de Ingress en todo el mundo.

CD Projekt RED, creators of The Witcher series of games, announce launch dates for Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales — a brand new adventure set in the world of The Witcher — as well as GWENT: The Witcher Card Game.

Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales

Thronebreaker is a single player role-playing game set in the world of The Witcher that combines narrative-driven exploration with unique puzzles and card battle mechanics.

Crafted by the developers responsible for some of the most iconic moments in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the game spins a truly regal tale of Meve, a war-veteran queen of two Northern Realms — Lyria and Rivia. Facing an imminent Nilfgaardian invasion, Meve is forced to once again enter the warpath, and set out on a dark journey of destruction and revenge.

Throughout the adventure, players will explore new and never-before-seen parts of The Witcher world, embark on thought-provoking quests featuring rich, multidimensional characters.

All while gathering resources to expand their army and engaging in epic story battles powered by the skill-based battle system known from GWENT: The Witcher Card Game.

Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales will release on PC via GOG.com on October 23rd, with a console release on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 set for December 4th.

GWENT: The Witcher Card Game

Following the release of Homecoming — the biggest update in the game’s history — GWENT: The Witcher Card Game is coming out of beta and launching on PC on October 23rd via GOG.com, and December 4th on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Announced back in April, Homecoming introduces significant changes to GWENT: The Witcher Card Game, fleshing out elements which made the original Gwent from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt a community favorite. The update also incorporates gamer feedback developers have been receiving throughout the game’s Public Beta.

Among others, Homecoming includes a complete rework of the game’s board into a fully three-dimensional battlefield featuring two distinct rows, a redesign of the game’s visuals now in sync with the dark and gritty feel of the world of The Witcher, a new deck-building experience, as well as new card mechanics.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Season Pass

Today, Ubisoft announced the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey post-launch plan, including a Season Pass with two major, episodic pieces of narrative content and Assassin’s Creed III Remastered.

Additionally, all Assassin’s Creed Odyssey players will have access to free content, including the story-focused and episodic Lost Tales of Greece, as well as daily and weekly in-game events.

The Assassin’s Creed Odyssey live roadmap plan is the biggest and most ambitious in the franchise, giving players more story content than ever before, in a brand new, episodic format, for the two-story arcs included in the Season Pass.

Players will be able to dive into new episodes as they premiere, or experience the epic adventures in their entirety once all episodes are available.

The Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Season Pass includes:

• Story Arc 1 – Legacy of the First Blade: This episodic adventure will introduce players to the first hero to wield the iconic hidden blade, changing the course of history. Players will learn more about the backstory of the Assassins and why they choose to fight from the shadows. Starting December 2018, episodes will be released approximately six weeks apart.

• Story Arc II – The Fate of Atlantis: In the second story arc, players will confront godly creatures and uncover the secrets of the legendary sunken city. In a surprising saga filled with twists and turns, players will get even closer to Greek mythology and the First Civilization. Coming spring 2019, episodes will be released approximately six weeks apart.

• Assassin’s Creed III Remastered: Ignite the American Revolution as Connor, the master assassin, born amidst the beauty and the brutality of 18th century America. As a bloody uprising draws ever nearer, your clan is threatened by a powerful group seeking to crush the American Revolution and control the thirteen colonies. Shocked into action by the devastation of your village, you pledge your life to the cause of freedom, and embark on a decades-long quest to achieve it. Assassin’s Creed III Remastered will be released in March 2019 and will include:

– All the DLC: The Benedict Arnold Missions, Hidden Secrets Pack and Tyranny of King George.

– Assassin’s Creed Liberation Remastered.

The Remastered editions will feature 4K and HDR on PS4™ Pro, Xbox One X and PC, higher resolution textures, a new graphics engine, and several other graphical enhancements. Gameplay mechanics and ergonomics have also been improved. Assassin’s Creed III Remastered will be sold as a stand-alone title for players who do not own the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Season Pass.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Season Pass

The Season Pass is included in the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Gold, Ultimate, Spartan and Pantheon Editions, and is also available for purchase separately.

In addition, an extensive lineup of free content, including new narrative content and in-game events, will be available for all players after launch, including:

• The Lost Tales of Greece: Free episodic questlines will release regularly in-between episodes, providing a constant flow of new stories for players to discover. These quests will feature familiar faces and new characters from the world of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

• Recurring In-Game Events: Each week a new epic ship or mercenary will appear, presenting players with challenging battles as they hunt down these powerful enemies. Daily and weekly contracts will send players on new quests across Greece.

• Discovery Tour: The educational tool that lets anyone explore the game in a conflict-free environment, will be available for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Players can traverse the entire interactive 3D recreation of Ancient Greece, free of conflict, time pressure or gameplay constraints, after launch.

• Many more updates, including new monstrous and mythical creatures to defeat and a New Game Plus mode presenting new challenges and the ability to see how different choices affect players’ stories.

There will be more to come as the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey development team is committed to support the game and continued improvement of the core experience with additional content, yet to be revealed.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will be released worldwide on October 5th, 2018. Gold, Collectors and Ultimate Editions owners will have access to the game three days early, starting October 2nd, 2018.

Playstation 4 y Xbox One tendrán el juego Hollow Knight

El exitoso juego de video Hollow Knight estará llegando a las consolas Playstation 4 (PS4) y Xbox One. El portal Geektyrant reportó la noticia y en el informe se mencionó la fecha de lanzamiento del juego en dichas consolas.

El 25 de septiembre próximo será el día en que llegue el videojuego a las consolas indicadas arriba.

La decisión de hacer este ‘brinco’ a estas consolas se debe al gran éxito que obtuvo Hollow Knight en el Nintendo Switch. El juego tuvo ventas de más de un millón en sus primera dos semanas despues de su lanzamiento.

El juego fue desarrollado por Team Cherry. Esto son un equpio de desarrolladorea australianos.

Originalmente, Hollow Knight se lanzó para febrero del pasado año. Este comenzó como un proyecto a través de la campaña de Kickstarter, esto para el año 2014. La campaña fue exitosa ya que logró recaudar más de $57,000.

En adición, no fue hasta hace poco que el juego obtuvo su primer DLC.

Hollow Knight trata sobre un caballero que hizo una búsqueda para descubrir los secretos del reino de los insectos Hallownest. Este reino esta abandonado desde hace mucho tiempo. Sus profundidades inquietantes atraen a los aventureros y valientes con promesas de tesoros y respuestas a antiguos misterios.

La sinopsis del juego agrega:

Hollow Knight es una “aventura de acción épica a través de un vasto reino en ruinas de insectos y héroes. Explora cavernas enrevesadas, criaturas contaminadas en batalla y hazte amigo de bichos extraños. Todo en un clásico estilo 2D dibujado a mano”.
