Warner Bros. has released the final trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. The video is flooded with tons of new footage and makes the film a lot more intriguing.
The trailer also presents more details of the story and the motivations behind some of the characters in the film.
Newt Scamander and the rest of the lovable gang are back in this anticipated film that is part of the Harry Potter world.
Here’s the synopsis:
At the end of the first film, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America). This with the help of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne). But, making good on his threat, Grindelwald escaped custody and has set about gathering followers. But most unsuspecting of his true agenda and that is to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings.
In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander. He agrees to help but unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.
The film features Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne in the leading role. Alongside Redmayne appear Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, with Jude Law and Johnny Depp.
The cast also includes Zoë Kravitz, Callum Turner, Claudia Kim and William Nadylam. With the latter also appear Kevin Guthrie, Carmen Ejogo, and Poppy Corby-Tuech.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald was directed by David Yates. It comes from a screenplay written by J.K. Rowling, creator of Harry Potter. The film will be released on November 16, 2018.
