One of the most anticipated events of 2019, the opening of the attraction Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, will feature one of the most famous villains of the galaxy.

Kylo Ren, son of Han Solo and Princess Leia, will be part of the ‘Rise of the Resistance’ attraction. The news came from a new promotional video for the 2019-opening parks.

Disney Parks and Lucasfilm are getting Star Wars fans ‘amped up’ with a new trailer for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The anticipated theme park will open next year. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will have two locations in the United States.

The trailer offers fans their clearest glimpse at the theme park built around the massively successful franchise. The ride will revisit moments of the space saga in various scenarios. There are trips on board the Millennium Falcon and into the heart of the First Order.

“It will be jaw dropping and incredibly emotional to walk into the land for the first time. Actually be standing there, among the buildings, the ships, and have this feeling that it’s all real — that it’s been brought to life, and is right there in front of you, is overwhelming.”, said Lucasfilm Story Group VP Carrie Beck.

In the video it is also teased that the park will have two focus features: Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. The latter is being described as the most epic attraction that has ever been built.

You make it through that. You make it back to the planet. He is Disney’s Imagineering creative executive for the attraction.

In case you were wondering, the actor Adam Driver will not appear in the attraction. He is currently preppin’ for the ninth installment of the Star Wars Saga. Episode IX will be directed once again by J.J. Abrams.

Also audible, parts of John Williams’ new score for the park will be featured in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will open summer 2019 at Anaheim’s Disneyland Resort. The following fall it will debut at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
