The end for Voltron: Legendary Defender hits today!

Voltron: Legendary Defender

DreamWorks has revealed the last trailer for the final season of the series Voltron: Legendary Defender. The show can be found through the streaming service Netflix.

The video shows a recap of what we might see in this eight and final season of the hit series produced by DreamWorks TV.

This hit series is a reboot of the Voltron franchise and Japanese anime series Beast King GoLion. It’s animation is a mixture of anime-influenced traditional animation for characters and background and CGI for Voltron action sequences.

Voltron: Legendary Defender is set in a science fiction universe where planetary energy called “quintessence” can be used to power vehicles and magic. The series follows the adventures of the Paladins of Voltron who must learn to work together to form the giant robot Voltron and use it to defeat the evil Galra Empire.

This animated series has received a number of accolades. These include BTVA People’s Choice Award for Best Vocal Ensemble in a New Television Series in 2017.

Also, some comic books series have been adapted after the success of this series. A total of three comic series detailing events happening in between episodes were announced back in January 2016. Taking story ideas that were deemed too outlandish and too epic to be put in a 23-minute episode from the animated series. These comic series bridges the time lapse between seasons.

This new entry in the Voltron saga debuted back in June 10, 2016. The initial season consisted of 10 episodes and spanned for 68 more. The end for the series hits today on Netflix.
