The next installment in the Mortal Kombat (MK) franchise will bring some of the familiar faces. But it will also include characters of the likes of Kotal Kahn.

This violent fighter is the The Emperor of Outworld and a Osh-Tekk warrior. Also, one of his many traits is that he can turn into a powerful panther. The new trailer for MK 11.

This fighter has an Aztec type of look. The same way it appears on the film Apocalypto. Although he looks toughs as nails, the trailer makes it seem the complete opposite. Usually when these type of reveal arise, the character shown look very dominant. This was not the case with Kotal Kahn.

This was an odd way to introduce a new fighter.


MK 11 will features more than 20 fighters. These include Baraka, Cassie Cage, D’Vorah, Erron Black, Geras and Jacqui Briggs. All time favorites like Jade, Johnny Cage, Kabal, Sub-Zero and Scorpion are also part of the roster.

Mortal Kombat is a video game franchise originally developed by Midway Games’ Chicago studio in 1992. The development of the first game was originally based on an idea that Ed Boon and John Tobias.

Mortal Kombat has become one of the most successful fighting franchises in the history of video games. Also it’s one of the highest-grossing media franchises of all time.

The series has a reputation for high levels of violent content. Including, most notably, its world famous ‘Fatalities’.

Mortal Kombat 11 comes out on April 23 on ‘next gen’ consoles.
