Red Dead Redemption 2

Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2), the upcoming title from developer Rockstar Games, will come in heavy. And by heavy we mean that the game requires a lot of space in your Playstation 4 (PS4) hard drive.

According to the developer, RDR2 require players to have at least 105 GB of hard drive space to install on the PlayStation 4.

This information was first spotted by Rockstar Intel. They informed the required minimum storage space via the image of the Red Dead Redemption 2 PS4 Pro bundle.

For now the PS4 version of the game will be the one to need the 100+ GB of space in order to install it. There is no word on whether the Xbox One version of the game will also require 105 GB of free space.
Being a game that it’s has been almost 8 years in the making, it is expected that it will more or less be the same for the Microsoft console.

Moreover, the PS4 Pro bundle for Red Dead Redemption 2 also revealed that Red Dead Online will support up to 32 players. This is slightly more than GTA Online’s 30 player limit. As of now, “selected online content” will remain exclusive to the PS4 for 30 days. This before it heads over to the Xbox One.

The saga of Red Dead Redemption started back in the year 2010. The game is an action-adventure developed by Rockstar San Diego and published by Rockstar Games.

After 2004’s Red Dead Revolver, the game is the second in the Western-themed Red Dead franchise. This was released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in May 2010.

The Expansion

Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare was the expansion made for RDR1. As a standalone episode, the game adds a zombie horror-themed single-player campaign. It also features two multiplayer modes, and cosmetic additions to the environments and characters of the open world Western action-adventure game.

The alternate timeline story follows the returning protagonist and former outlaw John Marston. He seeks to find the cause and cure for a zombie plague that has infected his wife and son. Marston liberates towns overrun by the undead and assists other non-playable characters with quests along the way.

Red Dead Redemption 2 releases on October 26, 2018 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

PSN ID Change Feature Announced

To some, the lack of ability to change your PSN Online ID was becoming some kind of a joke. To others like us, it was continuous frustration, more so if you had a god awful PSN ID that you came up with when you were a stupid teenager, like me.

But now there is some good news on the horizon. PlayStation has announced it will be testing a new feature that allows you to change your ID yourself.

The PSN Online ID Change feature beta will be a part of the PlayStation Preview Program, and will become available to select users that have pre-registered as testers for previous PS4 system software betas.

During the preview program, you will be able to change your online ID as many times as you want. The first change is free, and changes after that will cost $9.99 USD / CAD.

For PlayStation Plus members, it will cost $4.99 USD/ CAD after the first change. Changes to online ID can be made through the Settings menu or via the Profile page of your PS4.

PSN ID Change Feature Announced

When you change your online ID, you will have the option to display your previous ID with your new ID, so your friends can recognize you. Once you decide to display your old ID or not, you won’t be able to adjust this after completing the online ID change process.

This feature is compatible with PS4 games originally published after April 1, 2018, and a large majority of the most-played PS4 games that were released before this date. However, please note not all games and applications for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita systems are guaranteed to support the online ID change, and users may occasionally encounter issues or errors in certain games.

The feature will be available to PS4 users in early 2019.
