Monster Hunter: World PC release date announced

The wait for the critically-acclaimed Monster Hunter: World on PC is almost over!

Originally planned for Fall 2018, Capcom has now confirmed it will be arriving on August 9th, 2018.

The title that released for consoles earlier this year has since gone on to become Capcom’s best-selling game in company history with over 8 million units shipped globally.

In this entry, players take on larger than life monsters in a variety of vast, living, breathing ecosystems either solo or with up to three other hunters via online co-op, complete with drop-in functionality, a first for the series.

A new trailer has been released today to mark the upcoming PC release:

In Monster Hunter: World, follow the journey of the elder dragons as they begin their once a decade migration across the sea to a land known as the New World in an event referred to by inhabitants as the Elder Crossing.

As part of the Guild’s Research Commission, players must embark on a grand journey to this massive, mysterious land and uncover the secrets behind this phenomenon.

As hunters set out on their quests, the Commission’s sights are set on Zorah Magdaros, a colossal elder dragon that rises from the earth like a volcano.

Future updates will add new content and gameplay features. Updates and fixes made in other platform versions will be gradually applied to the PC version.

The Event Quest schedule will differ from other platforms so fans should stay tuned to official Capcom channels for more details on additional content release dates.

Metroid Prime 4 is still in development

Aside from Metroid Prime the president of Nintendo hinted the posibility of another ‘mini’ console.

Metroid Prime 4

Even though an announcement was made a couple of months ago, the next installment of Metroid Prime is still under development, this according to the president of Nintendo, Reggie Fils-Aimé.

“Last year was important to us to message to the Metroid fan that there was a Metroid Prime experience in development, as we showed Metroid: Samus Returns for the 3DS,” Fils-Aimé told Game Informer. “We didn’t want that fan to say ‘You just launched a new system, when are you going to bring me a Metroid on that platform?’ We said it was coming. This year, with so many games launching effectively between [now] and the first half of next year, we wanted to focus on those games. Rest assured, Metroid Prime 4 is still in development and proceeding well.”, Fils-Aimé told in an interview with Game Informer.

During the interview Nintendo’s president said that this version of Metroid it is still a priority. But, because of the long list of the games that Nintendo has on their developing process, Metriod fans will have to wait a bit longer.

Metroid Prime number four was first announced by Nintendo. The announcement came with a brief video that only showed the title of the game and the number four.

NES Classic Edition

In a suprising move, a few days ago Nintendo released what in could be the last batch of the coveted NES Classic Edition.

In other news the president of Nintendo also mentioned the possibility of launching a mini version of the Nintendo 64. The company wants to take advantage the same way they have been doing it for the last 2 years. Firstly with the coveted Nintendo Entertainment System (NES Classic Edition) mini console. Followed by the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) mini console. Both were sold out in seconds and they are still a Holy Grail of an item.

But a few days ago, in a surprisingly move by Nintendo, the company launched a couple more of the first Nintendo Entertainment System mini console. Apparently this could be the last batch of this product. Target and Walmart stores are the places to buy the tiny console while supplies last.
